My name is J.D. Breaux. I am a writer, gardener, designer, investor, innovator, and activist.
I've always been a writer. It's been a passion since I was a youngling scribbling away in marble composition notebooks and I expect it will continue to be until I have simply run out of things to say or no longer have the ability to say them. Which won’t be for a very long time.
My appreciation and aptitude for gardening is a great gift my grandmother instilled in me also at a young age. She taught me the knowledge and diligence that is required for gardening and helped me learn how wonderfully rewarding it can be.
My talents in design have developed progressively through the years as my growing understanding of different disciplines coalesced to form the skill base I currently possess. Early on I established a rudimentary understanding of drafting, architecture, and physical construction as well as art, journalism, and print layout and publication. This mix reached its first fruition in my employ at Champion Trailers where I served for many years as the company’s Catalog Editor and Web Master. I now utilize these talents along with my years of marketing experience as owner and manager of my own design company, Sticky Web Service, LLC.
In Jan of 2005, I made my first foray into the tumultuous world of investing. I have experienced soaring successes and painful failures. But since that novice beginning my understanding and capabilities have grown to rival that of many of the so-called professionals. Check out MyTradingBlog.INFO to follow my latest investing explorations.
As an innovator, I may not have any credits of delineable note. But I seldom accept initially that common convention is either the only or best stance to take on a situation. And as such I find myself coming up with outlooks and solutions that surprise myself to say nothing of the people around me.
In the world of activism, I am a gay liberal who advocates fiscal responsibility and the dissolution of all governmental marriage sanctioning. As you may imagine, I have to pick and choose my battles. But I make my voice heard when I can.
